y wife and I both grew up in the city, but as the time progressed we gradually became tired of the busy and stressful life so in 1998 we made the move to the country.
Shortly after The Great Ice Storm we finally found our dream farm. It had been neglected for many years, requiring a lot of work, especially the big barn and surrounding buildings. We rolled up our sleeves and the work began... a lot of work.
After a while we started to realize that our farm was somewhat empty - farm animals were missing! Then, one sunny day in the early summer as I was traveling to a manager's meeting at the company where I worked, I saw a small sign along the road as I was passing through Lachute, Quebec: Nubian Goats for sale. "What kind of goats are Nubians?" I asked myself. Out of curiosity I decided to have a look. Rodney Elliot, a true gentleman, took me inside the barn. Inside I saw these long-eared beauties and from that moment on I was hooked. A little while later I brought my wife over to see them and we purchased our first Nubian goats.
P.S. This website is in memory of Rodney Elliott - a great breeder - who has since passed away. We still have some of Meadow View's finest animals. They are an important part of our herd.
